PADI Instructor Development Course - IDC
Dream Work.

Education is a science, like biochemistry, philosophy or mathematics, just to mention a few.
You have to study at a university to become a scientist. PADI is aware of that and educational scientists have developed the PADI Training Programs according to the standards of their profession.

Success is hard to argue with and we want you to be part of that success so nobody can argue with you.
What makes any teacher a successful professional is not what they know but what students know after they have finished a course. As a Divemaster you have perfected your diving skills and knowledge, but as an instructor you will transfer these skills and knowledge to others.

During the IDC you will gain confidence while working with existing course outlines and to conduct classroom teaching presentations as well as teaching in Confined and Open Water.
You will develop a clear understanding of the PADI Continuing Education philosophy and the programs that are available to you. PADI offers the Instructor a full range of teaching materials for all courses, from
Entry Level to Divemaster to Medic First Aid; the manuals, videos, quizzes and exams are fully integrated and approved by ACE. You will see how enjoyable it is to teach PADI courses with the help of these materials.

During your IDC you may make as many mistakes as you want. We are here to
compliment you on what you do right and help you where there is room for improvement. Counseling sessions during the IDC will inform you about your progress and about the level of proficiency of your presentations, both in the classroom and in the water.

PADI.
What is PADI.

padi.jpg (9725 bytes) PADI stands for Professional Association of Diving Instructors.Founded more than 30 years ago in the USA, PADI has become the largest international diver-certifying agency in the world. Today more diving certifications are issued by PADI than by all of the other agencies collectively. This has the advantage of worldwide recognition of PADI diving certifications, and allows divers to continue their education anywhere in the world. More than 3000 Dive Centers and Resorts are recognized for their achievement and their ability to train divers to the highest standards as well as for safety and quality in all the services provided.

PADI issues different certifications to recognize divers that have more experience and skill, ranging from the Open Water Diver to Course Director. Each of the steps in the continuing education ladder ensures the diver receives additional training and experience to make them a more knowledgeable diver.

And if for any reason students can not complete their course with the original instructor, it will not be a problem to find another PADI dive store in a different location.
PADI dive stores are located everywhere people dive. The PADI system of diver education allows for easy referrals at almost any point in a course.

PADI Dive Centers are entry level Dive Centers providing equipment rental and sales as well as diving classes for their customers. The equipment used for rental and during classes has to be of a high standard.

PADI 5 Star Dive Centers are proven PADI Dive Centers adhering to the same standards but fulfilling additional commitments in regards to regular testing of air quality delivered to divers and students. Also participating in community involvement, such as beach clean-ups or reef protection.

PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centers are proven 5 Star Dive Centers having a PADI Course Director on staff and offering Instructor Level courses.

PADI 5 Star Career Development Centers are the highest rated centers in the hierarchy of  PADI   Diving Centers. They are staffed by a minimum of 2 Course Directors and run an extensive program of courses from beginner to highly trained professional. This range of courses is designed to give entry-level instructors a well-rounded education beyond teaching and to prepare them for a responsible position in today's modern dive centers. They include technical topics as well as diving leadership classes and basic business practices.
